My approach

I am a doctoral-level psychologist and I have been practicing for 30 years. Since 2001, I have practiced and lived in Carson City where I have raised my family. In my experience, therapy can bring about real and lasting change. My approach to therapy is integrative: we will consider all the relevant biological, psychological and environmental influences upon your well-being. We will focus on the changes you want to make and help you develop the life you want to live.

For those looking for EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), I have completed all three levels of training in EMDR, including the highest level, Level 3. If you would like, we can integrate EMDR into therapy sessions. EMDR is a powerful, evidence-based therapy that helps people heal from trauma and painful emotions. It also enhances coping, self worth and skills like public speaking, sports, and work performance. It works by gently reprocessing painful memories so they no longer trigger overwhelming emotions or physical reactions, so you gain clarity, emotional resilience, and a renewed sense of calm.

These Women's Wellness Retreats offer a unique opportunity for personal growth, relaxation, and empowerment in the beautiful surroundings near Carson City.
